This 1970 cloth calendar depicts provinces and territories of Canada along with the January-December calendar for that year. With a rich gold background and bright colored floral emblems and armorial bearings, this would make a wonderful addition to a calendar collection or a gift to someone who has ties with Canada.
Measures approximately 16 inches by 27 inches. Very good condition with no fading or tears or rips. There is very slight discoloration on the edge in a couple of places as shown in the photos.
An interesting way to ‘gift’ dated vintage calendar towels is by purchasing their year of birth or anniversary then using them in a basket with other special items or wrapping a gift such as a cookbook in the vintage calendar.
When these were popular it was the custom to use the linen cloth as a tea towel after the year had closed out. The type of fabric used in these towels was excellent for rolling warm pumpkin cake or date roll before adding the filling.
