Go back in time with this adorable K C Baking Powder Children Print, circa 1981, entitled,”Playing Mama.” This rather rare print, produced thirty years ago by Jacque’s Manufacturing Company of Chicago, is a reproduction of their original advertising for KC Baking Powder from the 1930′s.
Comes with beautiful vintage wood frame from the 1980′s. Measures 12 inches across and 15 inches in height. Print is in very good condition but has been slightly trimmed in framing process.
Baking Powder History:
Although Hulman & Company of Terre Haute, Indiana, is strictly a private, family enterprise, with several business interests, it is principally known as the producer of two brands of baking powder–Clabber Girl and Rumford–either of which can be found in almost any kitchen cabinet in the United States and, increasingly, many overseas cupboards. Recently, it has also developed and begun marketing new products, including baking soda and non-genetically modified cornstarch under both the Clabber Girl and Rumford labels; it has also indicated that in the future it will be adding new products to those two branded lines. In addition, the company produces baking powder under the KC and Hearth Club labels. Collectively, the Hulman brands have about a 65 percent share of the country’s retail baking powder market.
