A dress bolo tie with class, the rich woven leather tie is mounted with a very large, natural stone made of the unique Royston Turquoise encased in solid handcrafted sterling silver that is intricately designed (measuring 2 1/2 inches by 2 1/4 inches!) with large solid sterling silver tips, also beautifully designed (measuring 3 1/4 inches long). The artisan of this exquisite dress bolo tie, is a renowned authentic Navajo silversmith who lives in Ganado, Arizona and has a studio in Gallup, New Mexico, where he makes his jewelry. He has a bachelor's degree in elementary education. While he loves teaching, he feels that the Navajo people are not keeping up the art of silversmithing, so he has decided to combine his two loves and teach students the art of jewelry making. His wife Marie helps him in the work and does much of the stone cutting for the fine detail work on his inlay pieces.
