The
Berwick pattern, commonly referred to as "Boopie" was manufactured
from the 1950s to the 1970s by Anchor Hocking for inexpensive glassware
elegance. Our clear crystal Berwick (Boopie) dessert dishes with glass ball
pedestal were purchased by my parents in the 1960’s and are in excellent
condition with no chips or cracks.
Measure 3 ½
inches high x 3 ½ inches across the top. We have 13 dessert dishes available at
$4.99 each.
Today,
treasure collectors find these Anchor Hocking beauties a great addition to
other more valuable collections. For instance, the Boopie pattern is very
similar to the valuable Imperial's
Candlewick pattern. For Imperial Candlewick collectors learning the
difference between those and the Anchor Hocking patterns is very important.
Anchor
Hocking Company
was born of a merger of the Hocking Glass Company and Anchor Cap & Closure
Corporation in 1937 and played a distinct role in developing the beautiful
collectible glassware we treasure today. The company is still in production
today as a division of Global Home Products with its headquarters located in Lancaster, Ohio.
