We
offer this lovely bud vase from Viking's
Epic line, circa 1960’s, which combines clear and satin glass to create this unique
hand made piece. The base is the aquamarine blue color in frosted satin glass made up of 4 petals
or leaves above the pedestal base. The swung vase is the pale aquamarine blue color in transparent glass.
While considered a vase, this free-form blown glass piece can stand alone as a
work of art and will add beauty in any setting.
Measures
13 inches in height! Measures 3 ¼ inches on the diameter of the base. Very
good condition. No cracks, chips or repairs. Viking Glass used labels rather than stamps to identify their product. The sticker label on this piece has been removed.
Viking Glass History: What
began in 1900 as New Martinsville Glass Manufacturing Company in 1944, became The Viking
Glass Company. Located in New Martinsville, West Virginia, both
companies produced many elegant and colorful decorative glass pieces throughout
the years. Viking Glass Company went out of business in 1999 resulting in their vintage products
reaching new heights of collector popularity.
